We are delighted to have been able to take part in the Appledore Book Festival again this year and last week we had visits from two fantastic authors.

For pupils in Reception, Prep 1 and Prep 2, it was their first time meeting an author, and Chloe Inkpen kept them on the edge of their seats with her interactive storytelling. The pupils also explored how you can make up a story from a simple drawing, especially when the drawing goes wrong!

Prep 6 and Form 1 met Lisa Williamson, who presented them with her extraordinary characters, and were able to ask very perceptive questions about writing. Lisa Williamson's books have been cleaned off the library shelves since her visit., and we hope that many of our pupils have felt inspired.
