We held a fantastic Open Morning today with lots of interactive activities going on in our departments along with some great sports fixtures! Prospective families enjoyed a talk from Mrs Kirby, a tour of the school with our Sixth Formers and Senior pupils and a delicious cream tea at the end! 

Activities going on across the school were interactive, meaning that prospective pupils were able to join in with what was going on! This included fire lighting, whittling and and cooking bread in Outdoor Education; contributing to a collaborative peacock sculpture in Art; having a go at Trebuchet in History; Building a Chatbot in Computing; and making Slime, discovering Electromagnetism Circus and learning about Genetics in Science. 

In addition we also had some big Rugby and Hockey fixtures going on vs Exeter School and Plymouth College meaning that there was a real buzz around the school. 

We have received some fantastic feedback from those that attended:

The one element that struck me was the inclusivity of everyone, adults and young people. The school's values shine through your young people and your staffing teams.'

'I just wanted to follow up our tour on Saturday with a message to say how thoroughly impressed we were with the School. The young people who showed us around and answered all our questions are a credit to the school...and we asked some tricky questions! We really got a sense of working to children's needs, abilities and talents while supporting the areas they struggle with.'
