With some of our pupils having to stay at home while they are isolating or awaiting a Covid test result, our brilliant teachers have launched into yet another new phase of learning – this time blending classroom-based lessons with virtual learning.

The teachers are running their lessons at school as normal, but are linking up to any pupils who are at home, but well, via Google Classroom, meaning that they can join in with every lesson remotely.

This method is proving to be successful already, with positive feedback being received by families and one parent commenting:

“I just wanted to write to commend all the staff at Shebbear on the remarkable job you are all doing to adapt in these difficult times and to maintain a semblance of normality for our children. I can only imagine how challenging it must be to adopt the required protocols whilst at the same time trying to provide a calm and consistent setting in which our children can continue to thrive.  Please do pass on my gratitude and best wishes to all staff at Shebbear – you’re all doing a great job!”
