Our unstoppable Equestrian team have done it again, competing at the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) Finals at Hickstead and finishing with an amazing four Top 10 team slots!

The squad of seven girls - Zola (Prep 5), Anaya and Annabelle (both Form 1), Neve, Kaia, Chloe and Tichy (all Form 3) - and ten horses, qualified for several Show Jumping and Arena Eventing classes in the regional competitions earlier this year, and travelled up to Hickstead for the three day competition during Half Term.

The NSEA is the recognised body for equestrianism in schools throughout the UK, providing inter-schools competitions for team and individual riders, and the Hickstead competition is a huge event, with up to 300 riders and 55 school teams in each section. The girls and their horses all worked so hard for their respective teams and to all come home with a Top 10 team place is an incredible achievement!

The highlights were:

The 70 Arena Eventing Team placing 8th

The 70 Show Jumping team placing 9th

The 80 Arena Eventing teams placing 9th and 10th

Well done individually to Chloe, who was closest to the optimum time to pick up 7th and 8th places in the 80 and 90 Arena Eventing classes. A huge achievement when the top 10 were all within one second of each other!

Anaya also rode a great round to win one of the warm up classes on the Saturday afternoon.

Congratulations, girls, we couldn't be prouder of you and we look forward to seeing what's in store next year!
