Alumni Achievements


We love hearing about what our Old Shebbearians are up to now. Here is a snapshot of some of their achievements – thank you for inspiring all of us!

Congratulations to Nadia (Class of 2017) who has graduated from the University of Reading with a 2:1 in Psychology (BSc) and is now off to the University of Manchester to start her PGCE.

Meanwhile, Louis (Class of 2016) has been awarded a 1st in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) from UCL and is going on to do an MSc in Computing Science at Imperial College London. Louis has also recently completed the JPMorgan Chase & Co. Software Engineering Virtual Internship.

Emily has just obtained her Masters Degree – passing with Merit – in Classical Arts and Archaeology (MA) from King’s College London. Emily left Shebbear in 2014 and went on to study Ancient History at King’s College where she graduated with a 2:1. She is now considering a PhD!

Having achieved a 1st Class Honours degree in Equine Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation from Writtle University College, Emily (Class of 2014) has enjoyed an interesting career in equine massage including working for a Para Dressage rider. Emily now works as an Assistant Manager at a Riding School in the Republic of Ireland, providing therapeutic riding services to children and adults with additional needs.

And finally news from some of our Alumni who have graduated this year:

Lucy obtained a 1st in Environmental Geography (BSc Hons) from Cardiff University, Philip (Pip) graduated from the University of Exeter with a 1st in Mandarin Chinese & French with International Relations, Ella achieved a 1st in Public Relations from the University of the Arts, London and Meg studied at the University of Plymouth and gained a 1st in her BEd (Hons) Primary (Art & Design with QTS).
